Once you mix the powder with water, you get 250ml of foaming hand wash. How long this quantity lasts depends on how often you wash your hands, how much soap you use, and home many people live in your house. On average, for a household of two people, we see that one refill will last you one month. This is why we provide you 3 refills, so you are covered for a full month. FORGO hand wash has been designed in Sweden, and has been developed and manufactured in Canada. Our paper sachets are made from sustainable sources in the US. Our packaging is made from recycled paper in Europe. Our bottle is made by glass artisans in Portugal.

Yes. We have carefully selected the packaging materials to ensure it does not end up in landfills - our paper sachets are recyclable in normal recycling paper streams and compostable if left out in nature. Our shipping boxes are made of recycled and recyclable cardboard. Even though we hope you will keep it forever, our bottles are made of glass which can be recycled forever.

We have tested our product on different types of skin without any allergic reaction noticed. But individual skin sensitivities make it difficult to ensure that no-one will have an allergic reaction to it. If you have a sensitive skin, we can only recommend to do a patch test before using abundantly.

FORGO hand wash is made with natural ingredients, and all ingredients are considered safe by EWG's Skin Deep®. It does not contain synthetic fragrances, but contains natural fragrances. It does not contain sulfate, a common allergen.

Bar soap is a great and sustainable alternative but for those who would still want the convenience of liquid cleaning solutions, FORGO provides a new solution, better and more sustainable than liquid soap.

Our ambition is to reinvent personal care. The powder to liquid principle is just starting with hand wash. We're going to apply this same technology to products that typically come in liquid form and not always convenient in bar form. We noticed that despite bar soap being really sustainable, less and less people are using it.

If the product is subjected to excessive heat or cold for short periods of time, the product’s efficacy will not be impacted, though it may result in a thicker or thinner texture.

While the products don’t have a formal expiration date, it is generally recommended that they be used within 3 years of manufacture or 6 months after opening for best product quality...but we think you’ll love them so much that this won’t even be an issue.
